Turbo King/ Turbo King XL
Best uses: moving fast downstream, hitting tight slots, being classy
Common lengths: 200-205
The Turbo King is designed for the paddler who likes to move fast downstream and look good while doing it. It’s rounded tip and tucked lower edge allow for a proper vertical stroke and it won’t hit the deck of your boat.
It comes in regular and XL depending on your preferred amount of torque. It is normally made with a forward offset powerface (1” back from the front edge of the shaft) and has a dihedral that transitions to flat on the powerface.
The Virginia Gentleman
best uses: cruising, playboating, nature slalom
common lengths: 196-204
A smooth paddle for smooth paddlers. It can be a bifacial dihedral (centered on the shaft) or offset (!” behind the centerline). It’s roughly 13% smaller surface area compared to the regular Turbo King.
It features a tuck in the lower edge to give the paddle a better feel when feathering through the water and allows some creative strokes.
Shorter lengths are preferred for playboating and longer lengths for cruising and creeking.
The Original Gangster
Best uses: downriver racing, paddling big boats in big water
Common lengths: 200-204
This paddle is large and in charge, the biggest blade in my catalogue. It provides a lot of POWER but is still smooth with no flutter. It’s edges are symmetrical and the rounded tip provides a smooth entry so its easy on your shoulders.
Bat'Leth, Sword of Honor
Best uses: creeking
common lengths: 196- 202
A trusty paddle to carry into battle. For the creek boater who keeps their paddle pretty flat for hard sweeps and boofs when you need maximum purchase in shallow waters.
Bombadil
Best uses: Creeking, Cruising, Living, Laughing, Loving
Sizes: 190-220, shorter for playboating, longer for inflatables.
You don’t need a coat of blue or boots of yellow to enjoy my newest (and oldest) paddle design, the Bombadil! A merry companion if you are paddling up the Brandywine to drink and dance all night with Farmer Maggot, or evading capture from Old Man Willow and the Badger folk! Available in all manner of sizes to suit your fancy. A tasteful symetrical blade shape, with a great swing weight, and smooth feeling in the water. Great for Duckies and Packrafts in longer lengths!
